What is LAVISH?
Lavish is an IIDA Design Event and Silent Auction where local Design Teams create unforgettable Design Vignettes using donated and re-purposed items. All items in the vignettes will be available for purchase through a silent auction during the event. These Design Vignettes will be planned around culinary-inspired themes. You will be amazed at the amount of skill and creativity our design teams will showcase in each unique vignette.
Each Design Team will be paired with a Furniture Underwriter, Material Underwriter, and Accessory Underwriter. Underwriters will donate items and materials for the Design Teams to use in their vignette. Design Teams may also source other, non-competing donations for their vignettes from the local community. A portion of the silent auction proceeds will go to the event beneficiary, Dwell with Dignity, a non-profit that helps families escape poverty and homelessness through design. The Design Vignettes will be revealed at the IIDA Lavish Auction on May 6, 2016. A panel of celebrity judges will attend the event and score each vignette for the awards ceremony.
